As I Look Back Upon My Life…Tears

As I look back upon my life, I'm consumed by my tears
I try to figure out the how or the why and I see my worst fears

Play again and again before my very eyes
I done all I could and yet still they despise
Despise me for words and deeds that aren't even true
Then placed me here no hope cause there is nothing I can do

All I wanted was to establish my career and see my kids grow up and live happily
But I was a young federal agent charged guilty
Before trial or jury the judge didn't care for
care for my truth or the reality that is
now it's been 11 going on 12 without my kids

The judge convicted me as I stood there
never once letting me understand she didn't care
The law is innocent until proven guilty
And yet I was guilty trying to prove my innocence
I forget the injustice of this corrupt system

I plead on behalf of every victim, Don't cry
For my purpose from now on is to help all I can
To maybe share someone else's pain since I understand

I want to be a voice to all who need someone to fight

Fight for justice when it's supposed to be their God given right
